Police have made public alarming footage depicting a motorist performing hazardous drifting maneuvers on a roundabout during an illegal car meet, putting onlookers at serious risk of injury.

An individual aged 23 from Southampton received a 27-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.
In addition, the judge issued a 12-month driving ban and ordered unpaid work along with a rehabilitation program.

According to authorities, the recording was filmed at an unauthorized car meet in Portsmouth on December 28th, 2024, featuring the driver operating a pink BMW.

Official Statement
A police sergeant remarked: “Local people, drivers and our traffic officers have had enough with these crowds of drivers thoughtlessly occupying streets and parking areas and we refuse to accept it.”
He added: “They are not only a total disturbance, but they also put themselves and uninvolved individuals at risk of severe harm.”
The statement concluded: “We will continue to take legal action against these drivers and I hope these recent cases serve as a caution: you won’t get away with it.”
