Recent Oil Plant Assault Demonstrates 'Absolutely No Safe Locations in Russia's Distant Backlines'
Ukrainian drones have hit Russia's Bashneft processing plant in the city of Ufa, positioned some 1,400 kilometres from Ukraine, resulting in blasts and a blaze, according to a source in Ukraine's SBU.
This marks the 3rd SBU far-reaching assault in the region in the past month. Those strikes illustrate that there are no safe places in the deep rear of the Russian Federation.
Zelenskyy Calls On Trump to Facilitate Peace in the Conflict
The Ukrainian leader called on Donald Trump to broker peace in the Ukrainian conflict over a phone call on Saturday.
"If a conflict can be ended in a single area, then certainly additional conflicts can be ended as well, encompassing the Russian aggression," he said, praising Trump's "exceptional" Gaza peace initiative and calling for the President to pressure the Russian government into discussions.

Strikes by Russia on Ukraine resulted in the deaths of several civilians on the weekend and disrupted electricity to parts of Ukraine's south Odesa oblast, according to authorities in Ukraine.
Two people died inside a place of worship in Kostyantynivka when it was targeted, according to municipal sources.
In the Russian border region of the Belgorod region, a vehicle operator was fatally wounded by a drone assault, as stated by municipal sources.
Electricity Restoration Work in Kyiv
Efforts continued on Saturday to recover electricity in the Ukrainian capital, after strikes by Moscow.
Electricity had been returned to over 800,000 citizens by Saturday and the biggest utility provider stated the key efforts to recover electricity was finished though some outages remained.
Air Defence Operations and Drone Jamming
The Ukrainian defense forces intercepted or jammed fifty-four of 78 UAVs from Russia sent targeting the country in the dark hours, the aerial defense command said on the weekend.
Russia's military authorities stated it eliminated 42 enemy drones over the country's airspace.
Cuban Government Refutes Allegations of Sending Troops to Ukraine
The Cuban government on the weekend refuted US assertions it has sent military personnel to fight in the conflict in Ukraine, while declaring the government "do not have precise data about Cuban nationals" involved "on their own" or "within the troops of either party".
The ministry in Havana stated 26 Cubans had been convicted to jail sentences varying between 5 to 14 years for mercenary involvement since last September when news emerged of Cuban nationals being deployed to the front in Ukraine.
Surrender Initiative Project Reports Data on Cuban Recruitment
The program, a official Kyiv initiative that promotes opposing fighters to lay down arms, said in spring: "We have confirmed the names and personal details of one thousand and twenty-eight Cubans who entered into agreements with the Moscow's troops in the past two years."
The Cuban foreign ministry stated of Cuban nationals who might be involved: "It is irrefutable that no individual has the support, dedication, or consent of the Cuban state for their actions."
