Ariana Grande visited Singapore for the international debut of Wicked: For Good

Loyal fans of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a barrier and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the individual from Australia pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records showed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed features videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney show in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Numerous of Singapore supporters had queued up to see the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a two-film version of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the unexpected bond between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, securing two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
