Former President Donald Trump stated on the weekend that he has asked the relatives of a Guard member tragically killed last week to attend the presidential home.

US army specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was fatally shot in a violent incident on Wednesday in Washington DC.
Her colleague, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in critical condition.

The president explained he’s discussed a visit to the White House for the families of both individuals of the state Guard.
“I said: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a hard experience, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” Trump informed reporters. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Community members gathered over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.
Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid public safety in the capital.

“Sarah was the type of pupil that teachers wished for. She carried herself with calm resilience, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” the principal, the principal of Beckstrom’s previous school, stated to the media. “She was caring, caring and always eager to assist people.”
Memorial arrangements for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.
Judicial Actions and Government Revisions
Law enforcement have indicted a 29-year-old suspect with a charge of first-degree murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.
The tragedy prompted the Trump administration to pause asylum processing and cease granting visas to possessors of Afghan passports.

The airman, a native of Martinsburg, enlisted in February 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, per the AP.
